Lake Iliamna is the largest lake in Alaska. The village of Iliamna sits on its shore. The lake has an abundance of wildlife including multiple fish species and It is the site of one of the few populations of freshwater seals in the world. Along with the fish and seals, a local legend is rumored to live in the lake. Multiple sightings of the Iliama Lake Monster have been reported throughout the lake's history. Many people speculate that the alleged lake monster is actually an undocumented population of White Sturgeon.
